Bugfixes in this release

The following known bugs have been fixed within this release. We have done some testing and can confirm these fixes:

  1. Media Player resumes and plays music without being user-initiated is fixed
  2. Spontaneous reboots did not occur during our testing.
  3. Wake-up Alarm and other scheduled events now work properly. Confirmed with the alarm tester the infamous nadlabak has created (many thanks for that)
  4. Issues that although WiFi is active the MS cannot connect to authorised APs fixed.
  5. Camera displays 7pixel-wide streak on the right hand side when in Widescreen Mode – not fixed
  6. Settings widget displays GPS enabled although Navigation and GPS fix no longer required – works as designed to alarm user that GPS functionality remains active in the background
  7. Notification LED only lights up when in standby mode (screen disabled) – works as designed

We have tested and verified these within the G.O.T team and during our tests these bugs have no longer occurred. Since every MS is configured differently that does not mean that these may not occur in your particular configuration.

  1. Hi there guys, very good job! I’m sorry if i leave a wrong comment in the wrong page but i need to ask you if you never notice a problem about the trasmitted audio. Me and some other Milestone’s users from Italy, with official Android 2.1-Update1, has a problem that makes our voice level in trasmission going up and down, so the person who listening, during the same call, sometimes hear us good, other times can’t hear us.
Have you ever encountered this problem on your devices?
    Thx a lot if u answer me…

    • Enrico,

Some people seem to have that problem, but we will not discuss such issues here to keep this blog focused on G.O.T firmeware releases. You will find help and workarounds in the known forums such and XDA and others.

      • Thanks a lot. I know you don’t discuss here but i like only to know why you didn’t include this in the “Bugfixes in this release”.

      • We do not believe it is a bug in the first place. To our knowledge, this occurs because a metallic unit close to the membrane of the 2nd mic, if lose, starts to vibrate in synch with the voice of the user, resulting in undesired filtering of the speakers voice as “ambient noise”. This cannot be cured by firmware and requires hardware repair.

      • Thank you so much…
        good job guys!

      • Your are welcome.

And this is only the beginning.
